Was es ist
Calcium Peroxide ist CaO2, ein anorganisches Peroxid, das bei Kontakt mit Wasser Wasserstoffperoxid freisetzt. CosIng führt es als oxidierenden Stoff. In der EU fällt es unter einen Eintrag in Anhang III (Stoffe mit Einschränkungen), der Wasserstoffperoxid und Wasserstoffperoxid freisetzende Verbindungen betrifft.
Wo es verwendet wird
Erscheint in den Inhaltsstofflisten einer kleinen Zahl von Produkten, etwa Mundpflegeprodukten.
Grenzen der Aussagekraft
Die INCI-Liste zeigt, welche Inhaltsstoffe enthalten sind, aber nicht, wie viel davon. Inhaltsstoffe über 1 % werden in absteigender Reihenfolge ihres Gewichts aufgeführt; unter 1 % ist die Reihenfolge beliebig.
