Was es ist
Calcium Thioglycolate ist Calciumbis(mercaptoacetat), das Calciumsalz der Thioglycolsäure, ein Reduktionsmittel, das die Disulfidbrücken des Keratins spaltet. CosIng führt es als enthaarenden, keratolytischen Stoff und Reduktionsmittel. In der EU fällt es unter einen Eintrag in Anhang III (Stoffe mit Einschränkungen), der Thioglycolsäure und ihre Salze betrifft, mit vorgeschriebenen Warnhinweisen auf dem Etikett.
Wo es verwendet wird
Enthalten in Enthaarungscremes und anderen Produkten zur Haarentfernung.

Die INCI-Liste zeigt, welche Inhaltsstoffe enthalten sind, aber nicht, wie viel davon. Inhaltsstoffe über 1 % werden in absteigender Reihenfolge ihres Gewichts aufgeführt; unter 1 % ist die Reihenfolge beliebig.
