Ein gegen Pilze wirksames Konservierungsmittel.
Was es ist
Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate ist ein synthetisches Konservierungsmittel, das in Anhang V der EU-Kosmetikverordnung aufgeführt ist. Es wirkt vor allem gegen Hefen und Schimmelpilze und wird in geringen Mengen, oft mit anderen Konservierungsmitteln, eingesetzt.
Wo es verwendet wird
Cremes, Shampoos und Feuchttücher.
Grenzen der Aussagekraft
Die INCI-Liste zeigt, welche Inhaltsstoffe enthalten sind, aber nicht, wie viel davon. Inhaltsstoffe über 1 % werden in absteigender Reihenfolge ihres Gewichts aufgeführt; unter 1 % ist die Reihenfolge beliebig.
Anhang V legt Höchstkonzentrationen je nach Produktart fest und beschränkt die Verwendung, etwa in Produkten für Kinder unter 3 Jahren und in Lippenprodukten; siehe Abschnitt zu den EU-Vorschriften.
