Was es ist
Arachidylalkohol (Icosan-1-ol) ist ein Fettalkohol mit 20 Kohlenstoffatomen. CosIng führt ihn als Weichmacher, Emulsionsstabilisator und viskositätsregelnden Stoff.
Wo es verwendet wird
Enthalten in Cremes und Lotionen, oft zusammen mit Behenylalkohol und Arachidyl Glucoside.
Grenzen der Aussagekraft
Die INCI-Liste zeigt, welche Inhaltsstoffe enthalten sind, aber nicht, wie viel davon. Inhaltsstoffe über 1 % werden in absteigender Reihenfolge ihres Gewichts aufgeführt; unter 1 % ist die Reihenfolge beliebig.
Wie andere Fettalkohole ist er kein austrocknender Alkohol wie Ethanol.
