Wat het is
Behenylalcohol (docosanol) is een C22-vetalcohol dat uit plantaardige oliën wordt gewonnen. Het dikt emulsies in en werkt als emolliënt; het is geen uitdrogende alcohol zoals ethanol.
Waar het wordt gebruikt
Te vinden in crèmes, conditioners en lipproducten.
Grenzen van de interpretatie
De INCI-lijst laat zien welke ingrediënten aanwezig zijn, niet hoeveel van elk. Boven 1% worden ingrediënten in afnemende volgorde van gewicht vermeld; onder 1% is de volgorde vrij.
