Wat het is
Cellulose gum (natriumcarboxymethylcellulose) is cellulose die zo is gemodificeerd dat het in water oplost. Het dikt formules in, stabiliseert ze en bindt tandpasta.
Waar het wordt gebruikt
Te vinden in tandpasta's, gels, crèmes en reinigingsproducten.
Grenzen van de interpretatie
De INCI-lijst laat zien welke ingrediënten aanwezig zijn, niet hoeveel van elk. Boven 1% worden ingrediënten in afnemende volgorde van gewicht vermeld; onder 1% is de volgorde vrij.
Verdikkingsmiddelen bepalen eerder de textuur dan de functie van een product.
