Wat het is
CI 16255 is het Colour Index-nummer van een rode azokleurstof die bekendstaat als Ponceau 4R.
Waar het wordt gebruikt
Gekleurde cosmetica, zeep en sommige mondverzorgingsproducten.
Grenzen van de interpretatie
De INCI-lijst laat zien welke ingrediënten aanwezig zijn, niet hoeveel van elk. Boven 1% worden ingrediënten in afnemende volgorde van gewicht vermeld; onder 1% is de volgorde vrij.
Kleurstoffen zijn in de EU geregeld in bijlage IV van Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, met gebruiksvoorwaarden; zie het onderdeel over EU-regelgeving.
