Wat het is
Coconut alkanes zijn koolwaterstoffen die worden verkregen door volledige reductie en hydrogenering van vetzuren uit kokosolie. CosIng vermeldt ze als emolliënt en oplosmiddel.
Waar het wordt gebruikt
Komt voor in lichte crèmes, serums, haarproducten en make-up, vaak wanneer een licht, niet-vettig gevoel gewenst is.
Grenzen van de interpretatie
De INCI-lijst laat zien welke ingrediënten aanwezig zijn, niet hoeveel van elk. Boven 1% worden ingrediënten in aflopende volgorde van gewicht vermeld; onder 1% is de volgorde vrij.
