Wat het is
Magnesiumnitraat is een anorganisch zout. In cosmetica komt het meestal voor omdat het, samen met magnesiumchloride, het conserveringsmengsel methylchloroisothiazolinone/methylisothiazolinone stabiliseert.
Waar het wordt gebruikt
Vooral te vinden in producten die worden afgespoeld, zoals shampoos, douchegels en vloeibare zeep.
Grenzen van de interpretatie
De INCI-lijst laat zien welke ingrediënten aanwezig zijn, niet hoeveel van elk. Boven 1% worden ingrediënten in afnemende volgorde van gewicht vermeld; onder 1% is de volgorde vrij.
De aanwezigheid wijst er meestal op dat het product het conserveringsmengsel MCI/MI bevat.
