About Barnängen
Barnängen is a skincare brand of Swedish origin marketed by Henkel, which describes it as authentic Swedish body care with decades of history, linked to the 'lagom' idea of balance. According to a Henkel press release, the brand arrived in Portugal from Sweden in September 2017 with body lotions, shower gel, moisturising cream and body oil. Our entries, some with French labels, are a Sensitive soothing shower cream, a Yoghurt, Honey and Vanilla shower product, and NutriSkin Care & Fresh and Active Pearls Aqua Spirit roll-on deodorants.
Two showers, two roll-ons
Showers and baths account for 2 of our 4 Barnängen products and roll-on deodorants for the other 2. PARFUM and AQUA appear in all 4; SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, SODIUM SALICYLATE, STYRENE/ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, SODIUM BENZOATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, CITRIC ACID and PEG-7 GLYCERYL COCOATE in 2 – the shower pair – and STEARETH-2 and PPG-15 STEARYL ETHER in 2, typical of roll-ons.
All 4 declare fragrance (100%); none contains parabens, silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
Sensitive still means scented
The Sensitive shower cream is one of four products with PARFUM, so 'sensitive' here does not mean fragrance-free. STYRENE/ACRYLATES COPOLYMER is an opacifier that gives shower creams their milky look – it explains the appearance, not the care.
