What INCIMondo is

INCIMondo (incimondo.com) is a free, multilingual information service about cosmetic ingredients, run by WXQ Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (a Polish limited liability company), ul. Stanisława Bełżeckiego 4, 26-613 Radom, Poland, tax ID (NIP) 5252844355, National Court Register (KRS) no. 0000871653.

The site includes an encyclopedia of INCI ingredients, an ingredient analyzer, a product database, brand pages, guides, editorial reviews and information about products recalled from the EU market. We do not sell cosmetics and we do not act as an intermediary in any transaction.

Using the site is free and requires no registration. These terms set out the rules for using the site, including the "Add product" form. All you need is an up-to-date web browser; the analyzer and the form require JavaScript.

Information, not medical advice

Content on the site is for information and education only. It is not medical or dermatological advice and not a safety assessment of any particular product. If you have an allergy or a skin condition, are pregnant or are unsure, ask a doctor or pharmacist.

An INCI list does not show ingredient concentrations, so the mere presence of an ingredient does not tell you how a product works or whether it is safe for you. Manufacturers change their formulas, and the same product may have a different composition in different countries or batches. The ingredient list on the packaging of the product in your hand is always what counts.

Data sources

Ingredient data comes, among other sources, from the CosIng database run by the European Commission. CosIng is an information tool and has no legal value – what is binding is Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and its annexes.

Information about recalled products comes from the European Commission's Safety Gate system. We show it for information; current and binding notices are available in Safety Gate itself and from the competent authorities.

Our product database (about 15,000 products) is built from Open Beauty Facts data, manufacturers' websites and submissions from users and brands. We do our best to keep the data accurate, but it may contain errors or be out of date.

The ingredient analyzer

The analyzer automatically recognises names in the list you paste and links them to encyclopedia entries. It may miss names that are misspelt, in another language or written unusually. The report describes what the ingredients do; it is not a safety assessment of the product or a prediction of whether it will suit you.

Do not paste personal data or text unrelated to cosmetics into the analyzer. How pasted text is processed is explained in the privacy policy.

Reviews and product photos

Product reviews are written by our editorial team. They summarise publicly available opinions and information about a product and discuss its ingredients – they are not the result of our own laboratory tests and not purchasing advice.

In reviews we quote manufacturers' product photos under the right of quotation (Art. 29 of the Polish Copyright Act), always with the source. If you hold the rights and object to such use, write to us and we will look into it promptly.

Affiliate links and shop offers

The "Buy at …" buttons on product pages are affiliate links (marked as sponsored). If you buy something after clicking one, we may receive a commission from the shop or affiliate network. The price you pay does not change.

Our descriptions, analyses and reviews do not depend on commissions or on whether a product has an affiliate link.

Any purchase contract is between you and the shop only. We are not responsible for shops' offers, prices, availability, delivery or product quality; please take complaints about these to the shop.

The "Add product" form – rules

You can use the form to submit a product missing from our database: as a user (a photo of the label with the ingredient list is required) or on behalf of a brand (a product photo is optional and you can add the product page URL). The e-mail address is optional. By submitting, you confirm that the data is true and that the ingredient list was copied from the label or, for brands, is current.

You may only upload a photo you have the rights to: as a user, a photo you took yourself; as a brand, a photo the brand is entitled to use. Do not upload photos found online or taken by someone else without their permission.

Photos must not show people (faces, recognisable hands, reflections), personal data (such as receipts or shipping labels) or anything unrelated to the product. It is best to remove location data from the file before uploading.

Every submission is checked by our editorial team. We are not obliged to publish it; we may reject it, correct obvious mistakes, standardise names or merge it with an existing product page. An accepted submission may create a product page showing the ingredient list, the photo and its credit.

Licence for content you submit

Label photos submitted by users are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence (CC BY-SA 4.0), which you agree to in the form. This means INCIMondo – and anyone else – may use the photo, provided the author is credited and any adaptations are shared under the same licence. The licence is free, non-exclusive and worldwide. We credit the author with the name or nickname given, or as "INCIMondo user" if none was given.

When you submit on behalf of a brand, you confirm that you are authorised to act for the brand and that the ingredient list is current, and you grant INCIMondo a free, non-exclusive licence to publish the submitted photo and data. We credit the brand as the source of the photo.

Ingredient lists and other product data are factual information. To the extent any rights in them exist, you grant us a free, non-exclusive licence to publish and edit them on the site.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you submit. If someone reports an infringement, we may remove the photo. You can also ask at any time for the credit to be changed to "INCIMondo user".

Prohibited use

You may not submit unlawful or misleading content or content that infringes the rights of others, and you may not load the site with automated requests in a way that disrupts it. We remove submissions containing such content and may block excessive automated traffic.

Copyright and data licences

Our editorial texts, ingredient descriptions, guides and reviews are protected by copyright and belong to WXQ Sp. z o.o. You may quote short excerpts with the source; wider use requires our permission.

Part of the product database comes from Open Beauty Facts and is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL), with attribution. CosIng and Safety Gate data come from the European Commission and are reused in line with the Commission's reuse policy. Logos and images from other sources (such as Wikimedia Commons) are shown with their source and under their own licences.

Product and brand names and logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify products. Showing them does not imply any partnership with or endorsement by the owner.

Liability

The site is provided as is. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the information shown, for errors in data from external sources or for interruptions in service. This does not exclude any liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

Errors, complaints and reporting illegal content

Anyone can report an error – in an ingredient list, an ingredient description, a product's brand or a translation – by writing to [email protected]. If you can, include the page address and the source of the correct information. We handle complaints about how the site works within 14 days.

The same address ([email protected]) is our single point of contact for users and authorities under the Digital Services Act (DSA). You can use it to report content you believe is illegal or infringes your rights – describe what the report concerns and include the page address. We correspond in Polish and English.

Online orders of reports

On the “For brands” page you can order INCI composition reports online (packages of 1, 5 or 10 products). Online orders are available to businesses only (B2B): Polish buyers must give their NIP, buyers from other EU countries a VAT number confirmed in the EU VIES system. We do not accept online orders from consumers or from businesses without a valid VAT number – please contact us for an offer.

Prices on the page are net. For Polish buyers we add 23% VAT and charge in PLN; for buyers from other EU countries with a valid VAT number we invoice in EUR without Polish VAT (reverse charge – the buyer accounts for VAT). Payment is made in advance through Stripe (card, and for PLN also BLIK and Przelewy24). The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed. We issue a VAT invoice and send it by e-mail.

Delivery: we send links to the reports by e-mail within 3 working days after payment, usually on the same working day after review by our team. The links are valid for 12 months; the report can be saved as PDF from the browser. The report is based solely on the INCI lists provided by the buyer, who is responsible for their accuracy and confirms that they may share them with us.

Scope and limitations: the report is not a cosmetic product safety assessment (CPSR, Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009) and does not replace the Responsible Person or a qualified safety assessor. We check whether ingredients listed in Annexes II–VI are present and quote the conditions of use and warnings recorded there; we do not check concentrations, stability, microbiological quality, packaging or product claims, and we do not test the product itself.

Because the service is provided to businesses and consists of digital content delivered after payment, at the buyer’s express request, there is no right of withdrawal. Complaints (e.g. an incomplete or incorrect report) can be sent to [email protected] within 14 days of delivery; we reply within 14 days and, if the complaint is justified, correct the report or refund the price. Our liability towards business buyers is limited to the price paid for the order in question. The seller is WXQ Sp. z o.o., ul. Stanisława Bełżeckiego 4, 26-613 Radom, Poland, NIP 5252844355.

Changes and governing law

We may change these terms when the site's features or the law change. The current version is always available at this address.

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you keep the protection given to you by the mandatory provisions of that country's law.
