About Janssen Cosmetics

Janssen Cosmetics is a family-owned German professional skin care company founded in 1997 by Walther and Elka Janssen and based in Oberforstbach near Aachen. It develops products mainly for beauticians and salons, with retail and professional ranges, and exports to more than 80 countries.

Salon care in our database

Cleansers (3), facial creams (2) and other skin care make up the 8 Janssen products we list, most with Turkish labels – cleansing powders and lotions, a brightening cream, an intensive care cream and a hand mask. PARFUM appears in all 8, BUTYLENE GLYCOL and AQUA in 7, GLYCERIN, TETRASODIUM GLUTAMATE DIACETATE and SODIUM HYDROXIDE in 6.

Fragrance is declared in every formula (100%) and parabens in 1 (13%). None contains silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).

Professional and retail sizes

Professional skin care brands often sell the same formula in a salon size and a retail size under slightly different names; the INCI list is the reliable way to tell whether two packs match. A cleansing powder is a dry product, so it lists no water and starts with surfactants or powders instead.
