About Monoprix

Monoprix is a French retail chain that opened its first shop in Rouen in 1932. The Casino group, which had held a minority stake since the late 1990s, became its full owner in 2013. Products filed under the Monoprix name in our database are the chain's own-label toiletries, including dry shampoo, nail polish remover, hand cream, toothpaste, deodorant and shower gel.

A mixed toiletry shelf

The 22 Monoprix products we list cover a wide spread of everyday items – shampoos, hand creams and shaving products lead, alongside dry shampoo, nail polish remover, toothpaste and deodorant. After water, PARFUM (19) is the most frequent ingredient, followed by SODIUM BENZOATE (13), CITRIC ACID (12) and GLYCERIN (10).

Fragrance is listed in 19 formulas (86%). Silicones appear in 5 (23%) and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) in 4 (18%); parabens in none.

Compare within a product type

A nail polish remover, a dry shampoo and a hand cream have little in common, so the brand averages are of limited use here; set a Monoprix hand cream against other hand creams instead. Own-label products may be made by different suppliers over time.
