About Netto
The Netto products in our database come mainly from Netto France, a discount supermarket chain owned by Les Mousquetaires, the group behind Intermarché. The chain took the Netto name in 2001, having previously traded as Comptoir des Marchands; despite sharing a logo, it is not owned by or affiliated with the Danish Netto of the Salling Group. Its own-label toiletries include shampoos, toothpastes, shower gels, hand cream and baby wipes.
Netto France basics
Shampoos, toothpastes and shower gels are the main categories among the 18 Netto products we list, which come mainly from the French chain run by Les Mousquetaires. After water, PARFUM (16) is the most frequent ingredient, followed by CITRIC ACID (14), SODIUM BENZOATE (12) and SODIUM CHLORIDE (11).
Fragrance is listed in 16 formulas (89%). Silicones appear in 3 (17%), while parabens and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) appear in 1 each (6%).
Which Netto?
The French Netto is not related to the Danish chain of the same name, so a product bought in another country may have nothing in common with these entries. For toothpastes, flavour is declared as AROMA rather than PARFUM. Own-label lines can change supplier, so recheck the list on a new pack.
