About Neutro Roberts
Neutro Roberts traces its roots to Florence, where the English chemist Henry Roberts opened his pharmaceutical laboratory, H. Roberts & Co., in 1843; the brand dates its history to 1904, when the first neutral solid soap bar was launched under the Roberts name. It is part of the personal care portfolio of the Bolton Group and covers deodorants, bath and shower products, bar and liquid soap and hair care. Our entries include DermaZero products and an Iris & Mandorla deodorant.
Soap and deodorant, mostly scented
Deodorants and soaps – including dermatological soaps and deodorant sticks – make up the 6 Neutro Roberts products we list. PARFUM appears in 5, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE and GLYCERIN in 4 each, and PROPYLENE GLYCOL, GLYCERYL OLEATE and TETRASODIUM GLUTAMATE DIACETATE in 3.
That makes 5 scented formulas (83%). Silicones appear in 1 (17%); there are no parabens or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).
What 'neutral' does not mean
SODIUM HYDROXIDE in a soap bar is used to turn oils into soap, which is why it sits high in the list of a solid bar. The DermaZero line, sold for intolerant skin, is still worth checking for PARFUM, since the brand range combines scented and lighter-scented products under related names.
