About Sanogyl
Sanogyl traces its origins to a laboratory founded in Paris in 1921 by Abraham Alperine, which launched Sanogyl Rose, a toothpaste for gums, in 1923. The brand now belongs to Rogé Cavaillès, alongside Somatoline and the Botot mouthwash and toothpaste brand. Its range focuses on toothpastes for cavities, plaque and sensitive gums. Our 5 entries include Soin sensibilité, Soin Homéo Gencives, Soin complet + blancheur and two Apaise & Renforce toothpastes.
Gum-care toothpastes
Toothpastes – including whitening and sensitivity versions – account for all 5 Sanogyl products. SODIUM SACCHARIN, AROMA, LIMONENE, SODIUM FLUORIDE and HYDROGENATED STARCH HYDROLYSATE appear in all 5, with HYDRATED SILICA and ZINC CITRATE in 4.
None declares fragrance (PARFUM), parabens or silicones; denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) appears in 1 (20%).
LIMONENE in a toothpaste
LIMONENE turns up in every tube because flavours (AROMA) often contain it and it must be named above set levels – this is about flavour, not perfume. HYDROGENATED STARCH HYDROLYSATE is a sweetening humectant used instead of sorbitol in some pastes.
