About Splat

SPLAT is an oral care brand of Splat-Cosmetica, a company founded in Russia in 2000 by Evgeny Demin and Elena Belous. Its factories are in the Novgorod region and, since 2022, in Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region, and the group also lists offices in Switzerland, Latvia, China and Turkey. Besides SPLAT it makes oral care under Biomed, Iney and Innova and household products under BioMio.

Toothpaste chemistry

All 9 SPLAT entries are toothpastes, several with Turkish or French labels (Diş Macunu, dentifrice). HYDRATED SILICA, AROMA, AQUA and HYDROGENATED STARCH HYDROLYSATE appear in all 9; PEG-8, the enzyme PAPAIN, LIMONENE and the preservative SODIUM METHYLPARABEN follow in 7 each.

That makes parabens the defining flag here: 7 of 9 products (78%). None declares fragrance in the PARFUM sense – the taste comes from AROMA – and none contains silicones or denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.).

Flavour, not perfume

In toothpaste, flavour is listed as AROMA rather than PARFUM, while named substances such as LIMONENE can still appear. The paraben used here is SODIUM METHYLPARABEN – a salt form whose name still ends in -PARABEN – so look for that ending when checking a specific SPLAT tube.
