About U
U is the own brand of the French retail cooperative behind the Magasins U stores (Système U). In beauty it includes U Bio Beauté, an organic facial care line launched in 2018 with 36 products made in France and certified COSMOS Organic and vegan. In our database, U products are mainly everyday hygiene items such as shower gels, liquid soap, shampoo and shaving foam.
U products in brief
The 21 U products in INCIMondo are mainly everyday hygiene items: shower gels, bar soaps, hair care, shaving products and toothpastes. After water, GLYCERIN, PARFUM, SODIUM BENZOATE, CITRIC ACID and SODIUM HYDROXIDE are the most frequent ingredients.
Fragrance ingredients are present in 16 of the 21 formulas (76%). Parabens, silicones and denatured alcohol (ALCOHOL DENAT.) do not appear in any of them.
Reading U labels
Positioning can differ within one retailer brand: U Bio Beauté, for instance, is certified COSMOS Organic, a logo that signals compliance with a specific private standard, so look for such a mark rather than relying on the U name alone. Own-brand items may also come from different manufacturers, which makes product-by-product comparison worthwhile.
