What it is
4-Terpineol (terpinen-4-ol) is a monoterpene alcohol that occurs naturally in many essential oils and is the main constituent of tea tree oil. CosIng lists it as a fragrance ingredient.
Where it is used
Found in skin care, cleansers, shampoos and products with a tea tree theme.
