What it is
Arctium majus root extract is an extract of the roots of burdock, Arctium majus. CosIng lists it as a skin-conditioning agent.
Where it is used
Found in shampoos, scalp lotions, hair conditioners and some facial care products.

A separate INCI name, Arctium Lappa Root Extract, is also used for burdock root; the label does not show how the two raw materials differ.
