What it is

Behenyl behenate is docosyl docosanoate, the ester of behenyl alcohol and behenic acid, both with a C22 chain. It is a hard, waxy solid. CosIng lists it as an emollient and skin-conditioning ingredient.

Where it is used

Found in lipsticks, lip balms, creams, mascaras and other products with a waxy texture.
