What it is
Cannabis sativa seed extract is an extract of the seeds of hemp, Cannabis sativa, of the hemp family (Cannabaceae). CosIng lists it as an emollient.
Where it is used
Found in creams, lotions, balms and hair care products.
Limits of interpretation
The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.
The INCI name does not reveal the extraction method or solvent. Hemp seed extract and hemp seed oil are different materials with separate INCI names.
