An emollient ester of fatty alcohols and isononanoic acid.
What it is
Cetearyl isononanoate is an ester of C16–18 fatty alcohols (cetearyl alcohol) and isononanoic acid. CosIng lists it as an emollient and skin- and hair-conditioning agent.
Where it is used
Used in creams, lotions, sun care products and makeup.
