An aqueous distillate of sweet orange blossoms used as a skin-conditioning ingredient.
What it is
Citrus aurantium dulcis flower water is an aqueous solution of the odoriferous principles of the flowers of the sweet orange, Citrus aurantium var. dulcis, of the citrus family (Rutaceae). CosIng lists it as a skin-conditioning agent.
Where it is used
Found in toners, facial mists, creams and other scented products.
Limits of interpretation
The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.
It is a different ingredient from the classic orange flower water of the bitter orange (Citrus aurantium amara). The INCI name does not show the concentration of aromatic compounds.
