What it is

Cocos nucifera fruit water is an aqueous solution of the steam distillate obtained from the fruit of the coconut palm, Cocos nucifera, of the palm family (Arecaceae). CosIng lists it as a hair-conditioning and skin-conditioning ingredient.

Where it is used

Found in skin care and hair care products.

Limits of interpretation

The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.

Despite the name, CosIng describes it as a steam distillate, not the natural liquid inside the coconut. The INCI name does not show how the distillate was diluted.
