What it is
Curcuma longa root powder is a powder obtained from the dried, ground rhizomes of turmeric, Curcuma longa, of the ginger family (Zingiberaceae). It has the yellow-orange colour typical of turmeric. CosIng lists it as a skin-conditioning agent.
Where it is used
Found in a small number of products, such as masks, scrubs and soaps.
Limits of interpretation
