An extract of the whole lemongrass plant used as a conditioning ingredient.
What it is
Cymbopogon citratus extract is an extract of the whole plant of lemongrass, Cymbopogon citratus, of the grass family (Poaceae). CosIng lists it as a hair-conditioning and skin-conditioning ingredient.
Where it is used
Found in shampoos, shower gels, deodorants, creams and scented products.

The INCI name does not reveal the extraction method or solvent. It differs from lemongrass oil, which has its own INCI name.
