A sugar-based (glucoside) surfactant.
What it is
Decyl glucoside is a non-ionic surfactant made from a fatty alcohol and glucose. It is often used in milder cleansers.
Where it is used
Found in face washes, shampoos, baby products and micellar waters.
Limits of interpretation
The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.
Glucosides can cause allergic reactions in some people, although this is uncommon.
