A conditioning quaternary ammonium compound (esterquat).
What it is
Distearoylethyl hydroxyethylmonium methosulfate is a quaternary ammonium compound with two stearic acid ester chains, a type known as an esterquat. CosIng lists it as antistatic and hair conditioning.
Where it is used
Used in conditioners, hair masks and other hair care products to reduce static and make hair easier to comb.
