A long-chain ether of stearyl alcohol used as a skin-conditioning ingredient.
What it is
Distearyl ether is dioctadecyl ether, a waxy compound in which two stearyl (C18) chains are linked through an oxygen atom. CosIng lists it as a skin-conditioning agent.
Where it is used
Found in creams, lotions, cleansing products and makeup.
