A plant oil from garden strawberry seeds with conditioning functions.
What it is
Fragaria ananassa seed oil is an oil obtained from the seeds of the garden strawberry, Fragaria ananassa, of the rose family (Rosaceae). CosIng lists it as an anti-seborrhoeic, antioxidant, hair-conditioning, nail-conditioning and skin-conditioning ingredient.
Where it is used
Found in facial oils, creams, lip products, hair oils and nail care products.

- Anti-seborrheic
- Preventing or relieving the symptoms of seborrhea and/or seborrheic dermatitis, including dandruff.
- Antioxidant
- Inhibiting reactions promoted by oxygen, thus avoiding oxidation and rancidity.
- Hair conditioning
- Enhancing the appearance and feel of hair. Leaving the hair easy to comb, supple, soft and shiny and/or imparting volume, lightness, gloss, texture, etc.
- Nail conditioning
- Improving and/or enhancing the cosmetic characteristics of the nail (moisturizing, increasing sheen, reducing brittleness and flaking, etc.).
- Skin conditioning
- Maintaining the skin in good condition.
