A glycerol ester of isostearic acid used as an emollient and emulsifier.
What it is
Glyceryl isostearate is the monoester of glycerol and isostearic acid, a branched C18 fatty acid. CosIng lists it as an emollient and an emulsifying surfactant.
Where it is used
Used in creams, lotions, balms, lip products, makeup and cleansing oils.
