An aqueous distillate of witch hazel leaves.
What it is
Hamamelis virginiana leaf water is an aqueous solution of the steam distillate obtained from the leaves of witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana). CosIng lists it as an astringent and skin-conditioning agent.
Where it is used
Used in toners, facial mists, cleansers and aftershaves.
