A distillate of witch hazel with astringent and conditioning functions.

What it is

Hamamelis virginiana water is an aqueous solution containing natural volatile oils, obtained by distillation of the twigs, bark and leaves of witch hazel, Hamamelis virginiana. CosIng lists it as an astringent, hair-conditioning, skin-conditioning and soothing ingredient.

Where it is used

Found in toners, facial mists, cleansers, aftershave products and creams.
