What it is
Hexapeptide-9 is a synthetic peptide containing glutamine, glycine and proline residues. CosIng lists it as skin conditioning.
Where it is used
Found in serums, eye creams and anti-ageing creams.
Limits of interpretation
The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.
Peptides are usually used in very small amounts; the label does not show the concentration, and the INCI name says nothing about any effect beyond the function listed by CosIng.
