What it is

Isocetyl stearoyl stearate is the ester of isocetyl alcohol (a branched C16 alcohol) and stearoyl stearic acid. CosIng lists it as emollient, skin conditioning and viscosity controlling.

Where it is used

Used in lipsticks, makeup, creams and body care products.
