An extract of henna used for hair conditioning and hair colouring.
What it is
Lawsonia inermis extract is an extract of the dried flowers, fruit and leaves of henna, Lawsonia inermis, a shrub of the family Lythraceae. Henna leaves contain lawsone, a reddish-orange dye. CosIng lists it as an antimicrobial, antioxidant, hair-conditioning and hair-dyeing ingredient.
Where it is used
Found in hair dyes, shampoos, conditioners and hair masks.
