What it is
Methoxyphenyl t-butylphenyl propanediol is 1-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)propane-1,3-diol, an aromatic diol. It has the same carbon skeleton as the UV filter avobenzone, but carries two hydroxyl groups where avobenzone has two ketone groups. CosIng lists it as a skin-conditioning ingredient.
