What it is

Olive oil PEG-7 esters are the transesterification product of olive oil with polyethylene glycol, with an average of 7 ethylene oxide units. CosIng lists them as an emollient and an emulsifying surfactant.

Where it is used

Found in cleansing oils, bath oils, shower products, creams and lotions.

Limits of interpretation

The INCI name shows that the starting oil is olive oil, but the ingredient is a chemically modified derivative, not the oil itself.
