An inorganic acid used to adjust pH.
What it is
Phosphoric acid is a mineral acid. In cosmetics it is used in small amounts to lower and buffer the pH of a formula.

Found in cleansers, hair products, toothpastes and some creams.

When used as a pH adjuster it is largely neutralised in the finished product.
