A synthetic polyamide used as a film former.
What it is
Polyamide-2 is, according to CosIng, a condensation product of diethylenetriamine with dimethyl glutarate, dimethyl terephthalate and dimethyl adipate. CosIng lists it as a film-forming ingredient.
Where it is used
Appears on the ingredient lists of a small number of products.
Limits of interpretation

The INCI name does not show the proportions of the monomers or the molecular weight.
