A silicone-containing polyester of dimer acid and propanediol, used as a film former.
What it is
Polyester-28 is, according to CosIng, a copolymer of dilinoleic acid, propanediol and bis-hydroxypropyl dimethicone, end-capped with octyldodecanol. It thus combines fatty-acid-based polyester segments with silicone segments. CosIng lists it as a film-forming ingredient.
Where it is used
Appears on the ingredient lists of a small number of products.
Limits of interpretation
