A synthetic polyester used as a film-forming and skin-conditioning ingredient.
What it is
Polyester-4 is a copolymer formed by condensation of adipic acid and pentaerythritol, end-capped with caproic, heptanoic, caprylic and capric acids. CosIng lists it as a film-forming and skin-conditioning ingredient.
Where it is used
Found in lipsticks, lip glosses, foundations and other makeup products.
