A polyglycerol ester of caprylic and capric acids used as an emulsifier and cleanser.
What it is
Polyglyceryl-10 caprylate/caprate is the monoester of polyglycerin-10 and a blend of caprylic and capric acids. CosIng lists it as an emulsifying and cleansing surfactant, a solvent and a light stabiliser.
Where it is used
Found in micellar waters, cleansers, serums and other water-based products that contain oils or fragrance.

- Surfactant – emulsifying

- Light stabilizer
- Protecting the cosmetic product from deterioration effects of light.
- Surfactant – cleansing
- Wetting body surfaces, emulsifying or solubilizing oils, and suspending soil (generally, such ingredients contribute to the foaming and lathering properties of cleansing products).
