An inorganic oxidising salt used in hair bleaching products.
What it is
Potassium persulfate is dipotassium peroxodisulfate, K2S2O8, a strong inorganic oxidising agent. CosIng lists it as an oxidising ingredient.
Where it is used
Found mainly in hair bleaching powders and hair lighteners.
Limits of interpretation
The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.
