A solvent and humectant, often made by fermentation of corn sugar.
What it is
Propanediol (1,3-propanediol) is a glycol used as a solvent and humectant. It is not the same substance as propylene glycol (1,2-propanediol).
Where it is used
Serums, toners, moisturisers and as a carrier for extracts.
Limits of interpretation
