An ester of propylene glycol and lauric acid, used as a skin-conditioning ingredient and cleansing surfactant.
What it is
Propylene glycol laurate is the monoester of propylene glycol and lauric acid, a fatty acid with 12 carbon atoms. CosIng lists it as a skin-conditioning ingredient and cleansing surfactant.

Found in a small number of creams, cleansers and other products.
Limits of interpretation
The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.
The commercial material can contain different isomers, which is why more than one CAS number is listed.
