A light, fast-spreading emollient ester.
What it is
Propylheptyl caprylate is the ester of 2-propylheptanol and caprylic acid. CosIng lists it as an emollient.
Where it is used
Found in creams, lotions, sun care, make-up and cleansing oils, often for a light, non-greasy feel.
Limits of interpretation
