What it is
Silicone Quaternium-22 is a quaternary ammonium silicone obtained by reacting coconut fatty acid derivatives with a modified siloxane. CosIng lists it as hair conditioning.
Where it is used
Used in conditioners, hair masks, shampoos and leave-in hair products.
Limits of interpretation
The INCI list shows which ingredients are present, not how much of each. Above 1%, ingredients are listed in descending order of weight; below 1% the order is free.
The number in the name only distinguishes it from other silicone quaternium compounds; it says nothing about strength or amount.
