A water-soluble benzotriazole UV absorber.
What it is
Sodium benzotriazolyl butylphenol sulfonate is the sodium salt of a sulfonated hydroxyphenyl benzotriazole, a compound that absorbs ultraviolet light. CosIng lists it as a UV absorber.
Where it is used
Found in shampoos, shower gels, toners, perfumed products and other products in transparent packaging.
Limits of interpretation
